4500 Series

Large pearl-flakes with a superb orientation and powerful pearl-effects.

Pearl-flakes are in a transparent binder and are applied as a mid-coat over a base, most often black.

Excellent coverage. 2 quarts is often enough material to paint a large vehicle.

4501 Hot Rod Sparkle White is a transparent pearl-flake which color-keys with any color making it a universal pearl-flake for the entire line.

3 – 4 coats of 4501 Hot Rod Sparkle White over 4001 Sealer White is the cleanest, most brilliant pearl white in the Auto Air Colors line.ine.

Extra coats of clear is required to bridge over pearl-flakes.

Intended for application with a spray gun or large tip-sized airbrush.

Best used as a mid-coat color over a color keyed base color or tinted 4001 Sealer White. Sparklescent Colors are translucent and require on average 5 – 6 coats when applied over a white base.

Use as a mid-coat over a color-keyed base reduces the number of coats on average to 2 – 3 coats and allows each coat to be applied lighter which decreases curing time.

Extra coats of clear are required to bridge over pearl-flakes in Sparklescent Colors.

Bada Bling Silver™ is a very transparent silver which is great for blending and transitions. For use as a base color over large areas, mix 1:2 with 4332 Metallic Silver for improved coverage.

Mango™ is a very transparent orange and needs to be applied over a base of 4205 Flame Orange when painting large surfaces.

Intended for application with a spray gun or large tip-sized airbrush.

Shimmering base coat colors with a slight color shift from direct to side-cast cast views.

Colors cover semi-opaque. Full coverage requires 3 – 4 coats over sealer base.

Iridescent Colors are made with 4400 Series Hi-Lite Interference Colors which create the slight color-shift. Colors often travel to a darker hue on the side-cast view.

Lighter colors are best applied over 4001 Sealer White. 4355 Brite Blue, 4356 Electric Blue and 4358 Purple are best applied over 4002 Sealer Dark.
